Description
Grace Cathedral Starburst.
Not far from downtown San Francisco up on Nob Hill sits this grand cathedral known as Grace Cathedral.
After climbing the stairs leading up to the front of the building and the courtyard of to the side you can tell this is a special building. You pull back the thick wooden doors to enter the sanctuary and the building opens up into a large cavernous space with gothic columns and arches. At the time of our visit there was a young lady rehearsing her hymns for Sunday service. Without a microphone she filled the building with her beautiful voice.
This image was captured using a tripod with the camera pointing straight up at the majestic ceiling. I had to do some of my best yoga moves to position myself under the view finder to see what I was shooting. I hope you like it.
