This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I live in the middle of a forest in the high country of Colorado. It is the wild beauty of my surroundings that inspires my mixed medium paintings of wildlife and nature. I grew up in Southern California and have been creating since childhood, always drawing, painting or making something. I have enjoyed many creative adventures, including sculpting, stained glass art, being a display artist, an interior designer, a graphic artist, a copywriter, a songwriter, a novelist, and a creative director. So pretty Carol !!! So with mixed media, what did you do? it is a painting? or digital or what? It is so pretty!!! Love my iris flowers and had a lot of these at the old house but we moved and I miss them - this is the bearded iris isn't it? The Goddess for sure... and you are too for creating this!!

Thank you, Claire. The bearded iris is my favorite. The Greek word iris (I'm Greek) means goddess of the rainbow. This mixed media work was painted in Photoshop and then output and repainted with acrylics and texturing.
