Enigmatic 1845 painting by French artist Paul Delaroche (1979-1856) showing a young woman - presumably a goddess - 'asleep' in marble basin. Are we on Mount Olympus? It looks like it. A beautiful and dreamlike image, quite unlike the historical realism that was his normal stock-in-trade.
