GETTING A HANDLE ON IT by Lynn Bauer - While shooting images at the Paramount Ranch in the Malibu Hills in Southern California, I found myself taking a number of shots of an old Chevy C10 truck that was parked in the middle of the old western town there. The truck was a beautiful shade of turquoise and covered with rust...it was beautiful! They has just finished filming, and many of the props were still littering the streets and the buildings. I don't know if this truck was part of the set, or a work truck...but, I enjoyed having it as part of my photo shoot! While focusing on details...I found that some of the buildings were being reflected in the shiny chrome. You can clearly see one of those buildings in the handle in this image. I put a lot of sentimental value on these images now, as the recent Woolsey Fire has destroyed this historic ranch!!
