I was asked to paint something similar to another painting that I did earlier called "Regeneration", but, the client needed it in a larger size. She wanted some purple in it, to go with her living room. It had to be a certain size that fit an ornate gold frame that she already had over her fireplace. She also wanted it to depict her faith and be a point of conversation for people visiting her.

I decided to make three different types of liquid pouring from the gold vase, which represents the Holy Spirit. The yellow represents the oil of the Holy Spirit. The purple liquid in the middle represents the wine (representing the blood of Jesus), and the water represents the water of His Word, and also baptism. They are intertwined, representing the trinity and a 3 fold cord that cannot be easily broken. Purple represents royalty and the kingship of Christ. The crown represents the crown of Jesus, as well as the crown we receive as follower...
