I was born in Elkhart, IN and have also lived in Maryland and have called Virginia my home for 15 years. Living in the Appalachian mountains makes it easy to find the beauty of this area, whether it is taking photos of the New River, Blue Ridge mountains and the stunning Pearis mountain (Angels Rest) which is seen from my front door. The Appalachian trail also goes through this small town which is busy in the summer as the hikers must get off of the trail here to cross the river. Each of the four seasons produce landscapes that are waiting to be captured. I retired from Virginia Tech in April of 2015 and have taken numerous photos on the campus.
