This was the culmination of my photo trip to the Davis Mountains of West Texas. The Full Moon rose on the evening of the 4th of July, right above Mitre Peak, which is located roughly halfway between Fort Davis and Alpine on Highway 17. The day before I had tried to photograph the Moon between the two observatories on Mount Fowlkes, but I wasn't able because of a lingering cumulonimbus far away above the Texas desert. Thanks for looking! FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
