Description
I went to the Freedom Over Texas fireworks display in Houston, TX and I am glad that I went, but I think I may have picked the wrong year to show up. After walking two miles to get to a good place to shoot, I got soaked to the bone by rain and risked standing on a metal bridge during a lightning storm. At the end of the night, I was cold, sore and ready for a hot shower. Which is nothing compared to the suffering which our Nation's Veterans have endured for centuries while protecting our freedoms.
Some call it the 4th of July, but to me, that is just a date. When you say Independence Day, it serves as a reminder that common people stood up to fight for their own freedom and won.
I want to wish all veterans a Happy Independence Day and say Thank you for your service.

David - We are so happy for you and proud of how you are using your talent in photography. I've admired some of your other work. We still love Texas and especially the people. Is your copy of this photo on canvas on a wood frame? If yes, what size is it? We don't have room for anything too large. Let us know what's available and how much. Thanks, Fenton and Mary Moorhead
