Ford v Ferrari is an upcoming movie based on the rivalry between Ford and Ferrari for the dominance at Le Mans endurance race that has been in works at 20th Century Fox. Initially it was going to star Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt but the project fell apart after a script was drafted by writers Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. After the critical and financial success of Logan (2017), its director James Mangold chose to make this movie. Christian Bale and Matt Damon were cast in the roles of Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby. The movie went into production in the summer of 2018 California and was expected to be released on 28 June 2019. The film was pushed to November 15, 2019.
