I was thrilled to discover your website and find that you were offering multiple products with the image of the Filben Maestro as my grandfather, William Filben, was the inventor. I will be framing this photo for my home and anticipate ordering many other items in the near future for my large extended family

When I saw this photo of my hero, I had to obtain it because as you can see in the photo, I have Babe Ruth when he was young & strong initially with the Yankees. I want to truly thank the artist for his photo!

Terrific concert photo of Madonna back in the '80s. I hope the owner of this series featured in Life Magazine will make more available. They are stunning.

Artist's Description
As those living in Vancouver will already know, we've once again been subject to a relatively rare temperature inversion that has pushed cloud down over the heart of the city, leaving it shrouded in thick fog.

This remains a very difficult shot to take unless you live high up in West Vancouver, as the conditions are very difficult to judge. Once again, I made five trips to the viewpoint to capture the elusive conditions, with other trips resulting in either the city being completely covered in fog, or on one occasion, finding I was still in fog by the time I reached the viewpoint itself!
Finally, the fog dropped low enough for the Vancouver buildings to start to appear, and I was able to make two successful trips, last night and this morning, to capture the sunset and the sunrise. This shot was taken just before 7:00am, well before the sun started to rise, bu...
About Alexis Birkill
Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
