Description
While in southern New Mexico we fed so many hummingbirds that I filled the feeder daily. Eight birds was the total count. This day I pulled my chair up close to the feeder and slightly below so I could get shots with blue sky behind the birds. This is a Broad-tailed Hummingbird.

Thanks Lenore. Yes, they make it simple. I wish I was a bird. sigh Except I want to be a eagle that catches up updraft and just floats around in the heavens with out flapping.

Thanks so much Rodney. Sit and watch long enough and they will do "something" for you. LOL

Thank you for your comment Madeline, but no twig. The hummingbirds just have a very long beak to get deep down in the flowers for nectar.

We have been in the area for 2 months and I never got the urge to try to get any photos not wanting "stuff" in the picture. I came up with the idea to sit near and under the feeder so nothing was in the way. Sitting that close though, makes it hard cause they are moving so fast! Thanks for the comment. Roena
