This photo taken on the Ashridge Estate near Tring in Hertfordshire. We hunted high and low to bring you these shots as we wanted a carpet of Bluebells that covered the forest floor with Beech trees and Silver Birch standing tall and proud instead of bushes and fallen branches.
We had to take the train then a taxi ride because our car was out of action, rucksack containing a picnic, drinks and raincoates on our backs and of course all the camera gear but boy was it worth it.
When we first walked into this forest on the 9th May 2015 we gasped in amazement as we had never seen a sight like this before. The whole of the woods floor was covered in Bluebells……where ever we looked there was another great view to photograph. We were spoiled for choice and hope the emotions and the stunning visual poetry show through in the pictures we captured.
