Flamingos are amazing and I could be wrong, but as in swans, I notice that the ones with the significantly wider neck, most likely are males.I only noticed that in swans when I was shooting them and then reviewing my work, so as I have in those species of birds as well. If you look at this beautiful bird and compare to some of the others, the neck does vary in size, especially the width of the neck. As I have said, I could be wrong, but this just my personal observation about those species and as I have mentioned, in swans.
