The original heron for this image came from Lido Beach, Florida. One evening, a heron landed on the beach and began its methodical walk, looking, I assume, for a bite to eat. I took a few pictures using a 100-400 mm lens, and then decided to render an image that contained several herons. Although the herons pictured to the left are the same bird, I wanted to portray different posses. The two larger herons on the outside surround and face the three smaller herons in the middle. The herons in the middle look up, possibly for guidance from the two larger birds.
