I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

I thought the colors could have been a little brighter but I was happy with the product!
This is a portrait of a couple, Russian immigrants to Israel. Since coming to Israel, they have lived in poverty. The man proudly displays his medals from the Soviet army which he earned in World War II. Memories and nostalgia are all they have but at least they have each other.
This is a signed original work painted in watercolor on paper.

You're right, Dave. Often old warriors do not get the respect they deserve for their enormous sacrifices. The famous opera composer Giusseppe Verdi wrote a song depicting this phenomenon entitled Il Poveretto (the poor one),1847. You can hear it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1LlAG0hEDU.

It`s truly sad that this old warrior and wife live in poverty...He is a real hero and he certainly earned more than that....another gold medal winner....well done Esther...L/V
