The Kattegat is the strait between Halland in Sweden and Jutland in Denmark which is part of the connection between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. It passes through the Skagerrak, the Kattegat and the Sound, Great Belt and Little Belt. The name Kattegat comes from Dutch sailors and means close passage.On the coastline you can see a lighthouse and some sailing ships.Heinrich Louis Theodor Gurlitt (8 March 1812, Altona in Holstein, Germany - 19 November 1897, Naundorf near Schmiedeberg, Saxony), also known as Louis Gurlitt, was a Danish-German painter of landscapes. Gurlitt studied in Copenhagen.
