Description
Per the National Park Service website, [Devils Tower is] "...an astounding geologic feature that protrudes out of the rolling prairie surrounding the Black Hills." This site is considered Sacred to the Lakota and other tribes that have a connection to the area. Hundreds of parallel cracks make it one of the finest traditional crack climbing areas in North America. Devils Tower entices us to explore and define our place in the natural and cultural world. Devils Tower did not visibly protrude out of the landscape until the overlying sedimentary rocks eroded away. As the elements wore down the softer sandstones and shales, the more resistant igneous rock making up the tower survived the erosional forces. As a result, the gray columns of Devils Tower began to appear as an isolated mass above the landscape. As rain and snow continue to erode the sedimentary rocks surrounding the Tower's base, more of Devils Tower will be exposed.
This creative art is part of my photographic art series. When creating digital art, I use one or more of my photographs and a combination of several digital tools to create the desired output. It gives me great satisfaction to produce one of these artworks which would look wonderful in any home or office.

Spectacular capture John! I love the moody sky details and how it makes the tower looks so small! LF

That Holy door that even the not imagined by imaginable wrongs could not have broken the door of Hope with even a crack of a single little like sand's particle, the place where the wrongs stuck to nowhere, and being defeated by her Holiness as Pure in name of Ma-nature of Almighty Universe! Thank you so much dear kind john for always capture the best for all, so selflessly! You are a great artist to know my friend, always be blessed happily! :)
