I created this color pencil drawing in 1993. I think I had submitted it to the St. Louis Music Contest in 1992. I had won the contest three years in a row previously in 1989, 1990 & 1991. The Music Contest was sponsored by Blueberry Hill Records, owned by Joe Edwards. The contest covered all music genres. The year 1991 was the first year they did a CD case. The first two were record albums. I signed my name back then with my nickname, Jenny.

Genevieve Esson has a B.A. in Painting from Webster University, an award winning artist, her work is collected regionally and internationally. Esson is a painter and multi media artist. She has completed over 25 Public Art Projects. Her main medium is acrylics. She participates and exhibits her artwork at fairs, festivals, gallery shows, coffee houses, hospitals, restaurants and LIVE art events. She has an extensive working artist history.
