Digital artwork based upon the sound wave of the song "Don't Believe A Word" by Thin Lizzy.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist and vocalist Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott assumed the role of frontman and led them throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums. Thin Lizzy's most successful songs, "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", were all major international hits which are still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations. After Lynott's death in 1986, various incarnations of the band have emerged over the years based initially around guitarists Scott Gorham and John Sykes, though Sykes left the band in 2009. Gorham later continued with a new line-up including Downey.
Don't Believe a Word was released on the Nightlife LP and also as a single. During the making of Nightlife, Lynott and Robertson clashed over musical differences, such as the composition of "Don't Believe a Word". When Lynott first played the song in a slow 12-bar blues format, Robertson claimed it was "shite" and Lynott reacted badly, disappearing for a few days. Robertson then felt that he may have been a little harsh about the song, and he and drummer Brian Downey decided to rework it. Downey devised a faster shuffle rhythm, and Robertson wrote the guitar riff, and Lynott was pleased with the outcome when he returned to the studio. Robertson was annoyed when the song was released, credited solely to Lynott, as he felt that all three members should have been credited. The original bluesy arrangement was subsequently recorded by Lynott and Gary Moore on Moore's Back on the Streets album in 1978, and later appeared on Thin Lizzy's 1983 live album Life.
