Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The Moon is always half-illuminated by the Sun. The phases arise because the observer sees more or less of the illuminated side as the angle of observation varies. The Moon rotates so that it always presents the same face to the Earth. It does not have a dark side" because it is rotating with respect to the Sun. The mean length of the cycle of phases (a lunar or synodic month) is 29.53 days."
