Description
The famous "Delicate Arch" of Utah. The arch is the most widely recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates as well as a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of admission to the Union. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch on is route to the Olympic Stadium. This state treasure and popular landmark stands 52 feet tall and is a freestanding, natural arch.

I love the blue snowy background framed by the arch. Utah's red clay is beautifully striated in the arch.

Your very kind words are very much appreciated Cheri. Thank you! This arch is something to see and I fear that time will one day take it away. I saw this happen in my home state of New Hampshire with "The Old Man In The Mountain" (also referred to as "The Great Stone Face") rock formation that collapsed on May 3, 2003. It existed for thousands of years and then one day...gone.
