around the Hiwassee Gorge Loop on the L&N line. The train is a scenic tourist train and winds it's way through the Smoky Mountains to view the scenery, the trails, the rivers, lakes, and mountains. This spot overlooks the Apalachia Dam and Lake and travels through tunnels and gorges of granite rock and forests. In the autumn, the colors are gorgeous and the ride is especially beautiful.
