Description
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is one of my favorite WWII era fighters. Otherwise known as the Flying Tigers, these planes soared through the skies at 365MPH taking out enemies with their six 50 caliber machine guns. It was used by the air forces of 28 nations, including those of most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in front line service until the end of the war. 13,738 of these bad boys were built, many remain today, owned by lucky collectors. Excellent work. However, I'd like to point out that these fighters were not known as the Flying Tigers...the Flying Tigers were a group of American pilots who fought in defense of China and Burma in the first six months of the Pacific War, albeit with the early B model of this famous fighter.
