I loved painting the oil of these dogs quietly sitting by while watching the doves make a move on their English dog biscuit. Yes I know the "biscuit" looks more like an ice cream sandwiches, but in England this is how dog biscuits actually look!

This scene is also very nostalgic for me because it reminds me of my childhood years growing up in England... especially the good times spent at my grandmother's house learning how to do watercolor paintings.

I wish my grandmother could have seen that many years later I learned how to do oil paintings also, and chose to paint this scene from a little old English postcard that she had given me years earlier. I know how proud she would have been if she could have seen this oil painting, because one of the themes of her heart was about living together in peace and harmony... just as you see God's creatures living together in peace and harmony here.♥
