Description
This painting of Crystal Pier in San Diego evokes happy memories of warm beach days and beautiful sunsets. The natural grain of the wood panel has been utilized to evoke the feeling of the sets of waves rolling in to the beach. The sky, too, has its swirling pattern from the natural woodgrain that I stained these bright colors. Bright gold streaks in the water reflect the vibrancy of the sunset, and seagulls glide through the sky in the distance over the pier.
