Cowboys and cowgirls protect their heads from the heat and sun with straw hats that breathe. When the southern cowpokes from Florida and Texas go inside, they respectfully take their hat off and hang it up, and address others as sir or maam. This sombrero was hung on an old, used wooden room divider or folding screen whose paint had aged gracefully revealing old layers and in some parts, bare wood. It was in a good little restaurant in central Florida. They say home is where you hang your hat. I hope your home is where you hang my art! Enjoy all the decorative variations on this theme.
