Аrtist Zurab Martiashvili Born in Tbilisi (Georgia) in 1982 in the family of the artist Vakhtang Martiashvili.

He graduated from the "School of the Arts" (Geo Art) for especially gifted children. The same school, but two years earlier graduated from his brother David.

Since 2005, Zurab Martiashvili has been painting professionally.


The artist's philosophy is expressed in the biblical maxim "sin to mourn." Children's spontaneity, expressive form and festive riot of colors in combination with the beauty and flexibility of the lines - this is the language in which the artist communicates with the audience. However, do not rush to conclusions. The simplicity of his plots is deceptive. Behind them is the wisdom of children. Maybe that's why the secret of the artist should be attributed to the fact that none of his works seem unambiguous in the interpretation. This gives rise to the assumption that all the vagaries of his imagination are a different expression of love, and conventionality is a deeply experienced technique that only strengthens the thought embedded in the picture. Yes, there are many naive observations in it, but are not they evidence of a bright artistic individuality? ..

The artist considers his childhood to be amazing at times, and he admitted that he would like to stay in it forever. But, unfortunately, in ordinary life this is impossible. And the attractive, decorative pictures of Zurab, scenes full of good humor become that magic door, which the author opens up, kindly inviting us to the world of childhood and fairy-tale magic.

In the book of reviews at the exhibition of his picture, one of the visitors wrote the following: "About him we can say that his art brilliantly expressed the richness of the spirit, and his abilities reflected this spirit magnificently." And this is difficult to argue anything.
