Description
Looking across a grassy field and seeing the rooftop of an old barn provided the inspiration for this landscape oil painting. The grassy meadow filled with color and bloom was the perfect foreground. I like to play with color and texture and this scene provided an opportunity for both. I can't remember where I first saw this barn, but it was in the Pacific Northwest, either in the Skagit Valley of Western Washington or the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. Both provide scenic views of lush farming communities and provided a memory that helped as I created my painting.
