CONVICT LAKE PANORAMA IN BLACK AND WHITE by Lynn Bauer - A panoramic view of a glorious day at Convict Lake in the High Sierra of California, USA. A lone fisherman can be seen in his float tube in the middle of the lake.
Convict Lake is located off of Highway 395 near Mammoth Lakes, California. It is a gorgeous lake set deep into a granite canyon, which creates a stunning backdrop to it's deep blue waters. Fishermen line the shores, and others use float tubes as they bob across the water hoping for their catch. The skies are blue and the air is crisp. You can be sure that this is where "happy campers" got their name!!
