This painting was completed in 2011 in Holland, MI, USA by Michelle Calkins. It is a study of color and texture and how they relate. It is a culmination of various color studies done in square form, collage form and stripes.
Michelle studied art at Hope College in Holland, Michigan and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Art (Studio Concentration) and Art History. Since then she has pursued many forms and styles of art, adding photography and sculpture to her painting endeavors.
She has since become an internationally collected artist and has original pieces in many corporate and private collections.
