Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Comet of 1664-5. Historical artwork of the comet seen from Nuremberg, Germany, every night between 14th and 24th December 1664. This comet was one of the brightest of the time, visible all across Europe and reported in many publications. It was seen again in January 1665, and was last seen in March 1665. The text gives the dates of 14-24 December, while the bird represents the constellation of Corvus (the raven). Modern astronomers have designated the 1664-5 comet as C/1664 W1. Artwork from 'Weltall und Menscheit' (Universe and Humanity, circa 1880) by Hans Kraemer.
