Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Stomach mucosa. Coloured Scanning Electron Micrograph (SEM) of a cross section through the mucous membrane (or mucosa) lining the inside of the human stomach. The mucosa is the thick yellow layer. This consists of gastric glands that extend through the mucosa to open at the top as gastric pits. These glands produce acid and digestive enzymes which are used to break down food. Epithelial cells (brown, at top) produce a thick layer of mucus which lubricates and protects the stomach lining. Large blood vessels (at lower centre) are seen immediately above the muscular layer that makes up the stomach wall. Magnification x40 at 5x7cm size.
