Colorful Floating Umbrellas Over Portuguese Street

During the entire month of July, hundreds of colorful umbrellas float above the streets of Agueda, Portugal. They are hung over promenades giving pedestrians a nice shade and something cool to look at. This colorful canopy of umbrellas that has attracted tourists from all over the world to Agueda brings a shower of color over the town's narrow lanes and creates a beautiful scene, turning traditional shopping streets into an engaging visual experience. The project is part of the local AgitAgueda Art Festival and has been developed by the Umbrella Sky Project, who are dedicated to creating various urban installations using low-cost concepts. People loved it so much that the repetitive nature of the installation does not carry the risk of becoming boring, but rather turning into a wonderful tradition.

I was born in 1976, in Portugal. Grew up in a small town in the countryside and later, at the age of 18, moved on to the big city. It was a difficult transition at the beginning, but in time I learned to love and enjoy the beauty of both. But, truth be told, I still favor nature over concrete!
