The umbrella is a shelter that one carries with you. They can also be outward expressions of mood, character, or culture. This blue sky umbrella has many of the 12 Chinese New Year Symbols. The umbrella in the composition is a 'wheel of time'. The lady is carrying her own personal 'calendar'. She tilts her head and looks forward to the new year.
