CHANGING TIMES by Lynn Bauer - High up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California aspen trees change from the greens of summer to the bright yellows and golds of fall. As we rounded this curve of the small dirt road we were traveling, we found this breathtaking scene before us. This grouping of aspens was glowing in the sunlight, revealing small pops of green that had not yet turned amid the glistening gold. And, a beautiful mountain top was beginning to show against the deep blue skies from our climb to the top of the hill. This is one of those scenes that literally takes your breath away as you come upon it! One of the hidden jewels of the High Sierras...and, one that we will be sure to visit, again!!
This was taken on a trip to Mammoth Lakes, California, as we explored the Inyo National Forest.
