Description
This original painting was created by building up layers of board, hessian fabric and paint. Each layer is individual, but also combines with the other layers to create a harmonious whole. I wanted to break away from the regular format of a 90 degree rectangle, so one of the layers is at angles to, and extends beyond, the base layer.
According to legend, Cessair was the leader of the first inhabitants of Ireland.
