Description
Embark on a journey through Puerto Rico with this captivating watercolor by Carlin Blahnik.
The artwork elegantly depicts the pathway to a fort garita at the historic Castillo San Cristóbal in Old San Juan.
Enhanced by the intricate blend of brick, stone & plaster in the wall architecture, the scene exudes unique charm.
Explore the guerites or 'garitas,' once strategic sentry boxes offering a viewpoint for vigilant seashore guardians.

Love this amazing work as well! Beautiful sky with clouds as well as colors and textures on the walls and beautiful little Sentry room! f/love
Carlin Blahnik CarlinArtWatercolor replied:
Thank you. I enjoy allowing the sky and clouds to paint themselves. Wet the paper and drop in the colors, tilt and push to see how the paint mixes and then decide when to leave the sky as finished. The wall texture was fun with a mix of dry brush technique and glazes. Glad you love it!
