The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This little cascading bonsai is in it's first year of training. It has a long way to go before it is fully grown but the style is clear to see. Bonsai is a labor of love for my husband, he lovingly cares for his trees as if they were his children. I have collaborated with him on this series of photos to keep a lasting record of his trees progress. Like all art forms we have to learn as we develop our skills and sometimes there are mishaps. If the bonsai somehow meet with an unfortunate end at least we will have these photographic memories.

I come from a creative family who loved art, music, photography and sometimes random hiking adventures. I am thankful to them for giving me the gift of curiosity, creativity and a love of the natural world. I incorporate all of these aspects into my work and enjoy working with a variety of mediums.
