Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
As a practice to create good tonal range in painting created this Impressionistic Digital Painting of California Poppy White on White. For a few decades we have gone to Antelope Valley every year to see the California poppies blooming in the Poppy Preserve in Antelope Valley, California. If you ever get a chance to go, it is an amazing spectacle. Have talked with friends who drove through the Preserve an really enjoyed it. But, get out of the car an walk through the fields for the most amazing visit. The difference is as greater than you can even imagine, for its not possible to smell the flowers from within your car.
During the spring, the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve comes alive with surprises of the Mojave Desert Grassland habitat. The duration and intensity of colors and scents vary from year to year. The wildflower season generally lasts from as early as mid-February through late May, with a variety of wildflowers creating a mosaic of color that changes...
