I love the colors and motifs of the "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) celebrated by my friends of Mexican heritage. This holiday pays homage to those who have passed by inviting them back to celebrate with loved ones. Colorful sugar skulls, carnations and all kinds of festive skeletons decorate the day. This has been one of my most popular images.
About Jen Norton
Painfully shy as a child, Jen was unable to communicate with anyone outside her family except through drawing. Visual language was her first language and she never lost her passion for its ability to communicate for her. There was never a day she "decided" to become an artist. For Jen, there was just no other way to be. Jen Norton is a graduate of Santa Clara University where she earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Art, with a Minor in Business. Jen worked as a Graphic Designer in the Silicon Valley where developing marketing communications materials helped push her from purely personal expression to full conversation.
