The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Simple things are fun to paint and they are also appealing to others. This cactus plant was sitting alone on this table at my sisters house. I was attracted by its horizontal and vertical lines. Then the red contrasting with the green compelled me to paint. It does look especially nice in its gold-leaf frame.
