Description
The colors in this piece seem to float one into the other, and are highlighted by points of brightness. It is calming, yet exuberant. Pleasing, soothing, and serene. Yellows, lavender, cranberry, rose, and blue are contrasted against deep purple, green, and red. The impasto (palette knife) style lends a sense of texture to the painting, as well as an Old World feel. Depth, richness, texture ... it's a a perfect combination. Absolutely stunning. Whimsical. Spectacular.
