Description
Big Enough by Delilah Downs, shot in Round Top Tx.
In these days of McMansions built in cookie-cutter subdivisions, it's difficult for us to understand how large families lived their entire lives in houses smaller than modern economy apartments. But they did, and they did just fine. This little house stands on the edge of Round Top, Texas.
The dark clouds filling these stormy skies seem to overwhelm the little blue shack with its rusty tin roof, but it stands strong, even though it is a ramshackle old building. It stands just on the edge of Round Top Texas.

Ominous!
Delilah Downs replied:
It looked ominous, Alan. :) Unfortunately, it was a big front. These clouds dissolved into nothing as the sun rose and the day heated. We're in year 7 of the worst drought in U.S. history here, and yes, that does include the Dust Bowl--so when clouds like this pop up and do nothing, it does add insult to injury. ;)

Beautifully timed lighting and capture~
Delilah Downs replied:
Thanks so much, Ronda! Just wish the clouds had been as ominous as they appeared--we could sure use the rain!

I love the way you edit your Pictures. It makes them so interesting and special.
Delilah Downs replied:
Thank you so much, Susanne! What a nice compliment. I used to resist the extra editing until I began to think of it as just another way of post processing. I'm so pleased that you like it!
Delilah Downs replied:
Oh, and it doesn't hurt that Texas skies are always so accommodating in supplying drama! ;)
