Zooming in on a strange object hanging about 30 metres high on a sea cave ceiling,
My curiosity got the better of me, so after some research, I found out it was an Australian native beehive.

Secured to the ceiling with white honeycomb textured plugs with thousands of bees attached to the core to form a rectangle shaped ball.
Have to say, it was not something I was expecting to see near the ocean.

Australian native bees are quite small and are STINGLESS compared to the introduced European bees we commonly know and see in our gardens.

This sea cave is named 'The Woolshed' which is worn away from the forceful elements of ocean waves and winds into the granite cliffs producing honeycomb patterns at Talia Beach.

Rocks are incredibly fascinating, they have a long history and unique patterns worn over time by nature's elements.
