Description
A beautiful white-tailed doe stares out at us, as we approach through the grasses in the sunny meadow. Will she continue to peacefully graze, or will her white tail flick up, twitch, and will she turn and bound away, alerting the rest of her herd? Or will she allow us to come closer?
My sincere thanks and appreciation to Cheryl Tarrant of Distressed Jewell for the lovely textures used ... and also to Jai Johnson, the style of both of whom I admire greatly. Thought it would be fun to try something along the lines of what they create.
Original photographic images, the deer and the clouds, both captured near my home in Maryland with the Nikon D300. Much editing in Photoshop and other programs.

i've seen this image numerous times, when you come through a clearing and their's a doe suddenly appearing out of nowhere on the horizon, just as shocked to see you as you are to see her, your heart all a flutter ! Great picture Lois ! +fav

Thomas, thank you ... it is an amazing moment, isn't it?? Where we used to live we had these guys romping through our property all the time. Not always a good thing, as they ate most of our landscaping. Got to the point where we called our azaleas, bonsai-azaleas, because they had been nibbled so "artistically" ... lol!!!
