Autumn Trees at the Dam

... In full autumn swing, the fall colors at the lake are gorgeous! The dam stretches out over the lake, a gush of water pouring over in a waterfall, reflecting into the calm lake early in the morning, lovely perfect reflections of color in the still water. The sky above is a pale blue with a few interesting scattered clouds. The trails going out to the dam stand empty, waiting for the first hikers to come out and enjoy the fresh cool air of autumn! This is Cherokee Lake in the Nantahala National Forest in North Carolina, just south of the Tennessee border and very close to Georgia... Enjoy our Appalachian Mountain scenes!
