The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Cape Smokey is a high, prominent headland on the Atlantic coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Cabot Trail is a beautiful scenic drive which climbs the Cape in a series of switch-backs, giving spectacular views from the crest. This was an evening in October 2008, when the sun was setting and a cold wind was blowing beautiful cloud formations across the sky, typical late Fall weather with winter not far behind.

Scion of a Grand Banks schooner captain and a merchant mariner,I love the ocean. I started using 35mm.color in 1950.Favourite camera was an Exakta Varex.Switched to digital around 1998. My favourite subjects are sailing ships, ocean liners, the sea, forest,mountains..maybe I should just say "nature".
