Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania.
I love Birch trees - The white bark with black markings of Birch trees is simply my favorite of trees in any season - and the bare branches of a White Aspen is a close second just behind that.
As a child I loved to peel off the white paper like bark that always seems to be blowing in the breeze.
Paper White Birch Trees or Aspen tree reflections dancing upon the lake. Bright Red Maple leaves intermingle dappled amongst the colorful Autumn foliage .
Latin names are Betula, Betulin, Betalaceae, Betulaceae.
A day out in the country, spent hiking by the lake. The mountain air is fresh and clean, and the scents of the fall leaves fill the cool air.
Whether camping, hiking or spending a day antiquing in the quaint country villages, the statuesque Birch tree is always a favorite tree of leaf - peepers in the scenic landscape of the countryside.
