This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

A sailing vacation on the Chesapeake Bay, up the Miles River, I arose one morning to this sight. This placid seen was so moving it needed to be preserved for all to see. This is just one of a couple photographs I made that morning, "At Dawn On The Miles River".
About Eric Geschwindner
I exposed and processed my first roll of black and white film, It was of my dog Barney. This was when I was eleven years old. How things have changed since then. Self taught and always looking at the world around me wishing I had a camera in hand. the problem was funds for film, the chemicals and the camera was my mothers. It wasn't much of a camera, a " Ansco, Jr. Press Photographer", using 620 film. I remember the first time I developed that first roll of film. Using three pans, developer, stop bath and fixer, holding the film one end in one hand and the other in the other hand. Dipping the film back and forth for around four minutes, counting, one chimpanzee, two chimpanzee, and on it went. From one pan to the next and then the moment...
