Here, fungal threads of the vegetative mycelium have developed at their tips spore-producing fruiting bodies. This fungus is common in dust, soil, on plants and plant products such as hay or grain. A.fumigatus can cause a number of different diseases in humans including allergic disorder, respiratory infection and invasive disease. Spores inhaled by people with weak lungs can lead to respiratory aspergillosis. This fungus may occasionally invade tissue spreading from the lungs to the brain, kidneys, liver and skin.
